In the wake of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, GNO, Inc. had a compelling story to tell their stakeholders — including the latest research about the New Orleans 10 — parish region. The importance of this information is reinforced through the design of a contrasting seal, which must be broken to access the content inside.
Spare, subtle and sophisticated, the JFDS stationery items reflect the qualities of the work produced by this landscape architecture firm as well as the aspirations of its owner, Joey Furr. Created to support the various content requirements of the studio, this non-traditional design is a true blend of form and function.
Charged with the mission of human recovery in post-Katrina/Rita Louisiana, the Recovery Corps needed stationery and collateral materials that reflected their leadership in this important mission. Vibrant colors stand in defiance of the sometimes overwhelming nature of the task at hand, and the images used reflect the human face of recovery in a poignant, realistic and, ultimately, hopeful way.
