Shaping the City of Brotherly Love

You may have noticed a theme in our newsletters this year. As we focus on preparing for the future, our Founder and President, Stafford Wood, took that idea to the next level.

Over the summer, Stafford took to the City of Brotherly Love to mentor a group of high school students and prepare them for the future!

Stafford created and taught an in-person master class in professional communication tips and tricks for the Revolution School in Philadelphia. A group of students spent two weeks with Stafford learning about networking, relationship building and best practices in emailing, LinkedIn and “reaching out” as they prepare to enter the workforce.

These scholars benefitted from Stafford’s years of international marketing and public relations expertise and even got the opportunity to apply class methodologies. A unique Revolution School program called RevChat provides students with opportunities to engage with and interview employees at various companies and organizations. These interviews provide students with an understanding of internal operations and company culture, while allowing them to practice interpersonal communication skills. Once interviews are completed, participating students provide partnering organizations with anonymous employee feedback compiled in a report, along with recommendations and potential next steps.
