PRAL's Spring Workshop Speakers

A PR Toolkit: Challenges and Opportunities in Today's Market
Stafford Kendall will be one of a slate of presenters at the upcoming PRAL Spring Workshop on Friday, May 29, 8:30-1:00 at Juban's. The presentation is called "Heavy Traffic is a Good Thing!" Stafford will introduce the tools and techniques to use the most popular (and free!) Web site traffic reporting tool - Google Analytics. Learn how to use the information collected to improve your Web site's strategy, navigation, design and content to better serve your site's visitors and get more traffic heading your way.

Pulitzer Prize winning author and Times-Picayune metro editor, Jed Horne, will be the keynote and luncheon speaker.

Horne is the author of both Breach of Faith: Hurricane Katrina and the Near Death of a Great American City and Desire Street: A True Story of Death and Deliverance in New Orleans. Horne's talk, "Breaking News: Print is Broke. Where to from Here," will give us his perspective of the newspaper industry, what's the future of national papers, hometown papers and how will this affect the public relations profession.

Also, Patsy Wilkerson will present "YOU, INC: Passion, Purpose, Possibilities: Marketing." Patsy brings over 20 years of experience and expertise as a trainer, coach, consultant, motivational speaker and facilitator. Patsy will help us find the value in what we do professionally, and most importantly, how to convey that to others.
